I'm Richard Porter, a retired U.S. Army Captain, relationship-driven mortgage broker, and proud grandfather of six (and counting). I founded West Coast Lending Team in 2006, with a simple promise: serve people the way I led soldiers...honestly, strategically, and always with their mission in mind.

My journey began in 2002 as a credit repair specialist, helping families rebuild the financial foundation necessary to purchase their first home. By 2003, I became a licensed loan originator, and in 2006, I launched the WCL Team as a licensed broker, focusing exclusively on residential mortgages with a specialty in VA loans.

With a BS in Sociology and an MA in Organizational Leadership, I approach every file like a mission brief: understand the family, map the obstacles, and execute the plan. Whether you're a veteran, a first-time buyer, or a growing family, I fight for the lowest rate, fastest closing, and zero surprises.

Outside the office, I'm a dad to three incredible adults: Cheyenne, Richard, and Hope, and 'Papa' to six grandkids who keep me young.
