Hey there – I’m Rich Manning, a 24-year mortgage veteran who still gets a rush from helping families plant roots and build wealth through homeownership. Long before I was crunching numbers on 30-year fixed rates, I was chasing buckets on hardwood floors across three continents.
Born and raised in Antelope, California, I graduated from Center High School in June 1988 and headed east on a full basketball scholarship to Syracuse University (’88–’90). Two years later I transferred to the University of Washington, where I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Business in 1993 while suiting up for the Huskies.
June 1993 changed everything: the Atlanta Hawks selected me with the 40th overall pick. From October 1993 to April 2001 I lived the pro dream—Vancouver Grizzlies, LA Clippers, and multiple seasons lighting up EuroLeague arenas overseas. Eight seasons, countless flights, and one very worn-out passport.
Off the court, I’m a husband and proud dad to three boys who keep me young (and occasionally humble). When I’m not closing loans or cheering at their games, you’ll find me on the sideline as the assistant varsity basketball coach at Sheldon High School—16 years and still counting.
Since October 2001 I’ve guided thousands of clients through purchases, refinances, and investment deals. My promise is simple: clear answers, zero pressure, and a game plan that fits your life. Whether you’re a first-timer, a move-up buyer, or adding another rental to the portfolio, I’m here to make the process smooth, transparent, and—dare I say—fun.
Ready to make your next move? Let’s talk hoops, homes, or both.
